SPLINTING

Splinting the upper extremity for flexion contractures, post surgical positioning, and for joint protection.

Splints are made with thermoplastic materials to keep the injured part of the upper extremity in a protected and functional position. Stabilizing the affected area can assist in the healing process, allow for function without damaging structures, and allow for exercise to be performed safely.

Custom pre-fabricated splints can also be measured and ordered to provide longer term corrections of flexion contractures and other chronic conditions.
